Posey Opposes Latest 4,000 Page Spending Bill
Washington,
December 23, 2022 -
Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) released the following statement regarding his vote against the latest $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill:
“Washington’s appetite for passing thousand-page spending bills at the last minute with little time to read and consider the provisions is detrimental to our nation’s economic and financial health. The national debt now stands at $31.4 trillion, and inflation is at a forty-year high. Americans are paying higher prices for food, fuel, and other necessities. Doubling down on failed policies and terrible spending practices will only produce more of the same and I oppose legislation that continues us down this path to financial ruin.”
