Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) released the following statement commending local groups for working to bring another World Boxing Organization (WBO) sanctioned boxing night to Palm Bay, Florida this year:
“It’s exciting that the Greater Palm Bay Chamber, the Space Coast TDC, and All Star Boxing are once again working with Telemundo to bring a second round of boxing entertainment to Palm Bay, Florida,” said US Congressman Bill Posey. “I applaud their efforts to attract events such as this one which will raise our profile around the world as a premier travel destination and provide a boost to local businesses.” “Tourism plays a key role in our community. I was pleased when the President recently announced his support for a plan I helped introduced in Congress to ease tourist visa and business travel to the United States. This is a good, bipartisan effort.” The WBO event is being telecast live nationally and throughout 4 continents worldwide on Telemundo and will take place next Friday, February 10th at the Palm Bay Community Center. Local boxer, William Pagan of Palm Bay, Florida, will also be making his professional boxing debut. |
