Health Care Reform
Yesterday, Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) supported legislation on the House floor to repeal the individual mandate included in the new health care reform law which requires every American to purchase health insurance or pay a fine.
“It is the right of every American to freely choose how they want to cover their own health needs,” said Congressman Posey. “It is wrong for the federal government to mandate that as a condition of citizenship, Americans must purchase a product from a private company or face federal tax penalties. Individual liberty is a founding principle of American society and this mandate flies in the face of that freedom.” To see how Members of Congress voted, please click HERE. |
