Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) said after reading a report published yesterday by ABC News that the Recovery Board in charge of stimulus funds should begin to track the errors that were made to ensure taxpayer funds are going where they are supposed to be going. The news outlet published a story about millions of dollars in stimulus funds that are listed on Recovery.gov, the stimulus’ website, as creating jobs in Congressional Districts that do not exist.
“Florida is listed as having 6 extra Congressional Districts and the last time I checked there was no ‘double zero’ district, or an 88th district,” said Posey. “This has to be examined to make sure the funds are being spent properly.” Click Here for the link to the ABC News Article |
