Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009 (H.R. 1207)

Congressman Posey is an Original Cosponsor of the H.R. 1207, Federal Reserve Transparency Act, which to would eliminate restrictions on Government Accountability Office (GAO) audits of the Federal Reserve and open Federal Reserve operations to enhanced scrutiny. By opening all Federal Reserve operations to a GAO audit and calling for such an audit to be completed by the end of 2010, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act would achieve much-needed transparency of the Federal Reserve.
