Posey Supports Election Security Bill

With Congressman Bill Posey’s (R-Rockledge) support, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, legislation to better secure our elections. The bill, which passed with a bipartisan vote, requires states to take steps to ensure that only U.S. citizens can register to vote in federal elections and requires proof of citizenship to register to vote in a federal election.
“Allowing non-citizens to register and vote in our federal elections is foreign interference and it cancels-out the legal votes of American citizens,” said Congressman Bill Posey. |
