With Hurricane Dorian off our coast, it’s time to get ready and make a plan. The first step in creating a plan is gathering information. Find your local emergency contacts and where to seek shelter in the event of an emergency. Below I have listed some helpful resources for constituents to get ready and stay connected.
Helpful Tips: It’s important to understand your home’s vulnerability, if you live in an evacuation area and how to get the National Weather Service forecasts for your area. Also, you can put together a supply kit, become familiar with evacuation routes and talk with your family and neighbors. Make a list of important emergency contacts and radio/TV stations in your area.
