Congressman Posey reintroduced the Reasserting American Leadership in Space Act, or REAL Space Act, on April 27, 2015. This bill directs NASA to return to the Moon by 2023 and develop a sustained human presence as a stepping stone to Mars and other destinations within our solar system. The legislation also emphasizes the importance of maintaining the United States’ preeminence in space.
The Moon offers a worthy vision and goal for human space exploration. Numerous technologies and practices for Mars and for other deep space missions can be demonstrated and refined just three days away from earth. |
