Posey Salutes WWII Veterans on 69th Anniversary of D-Day Invasion

Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) released following statement commemorating the 69th Anniversary of the Allied Invasion of Normandy:
“On June 6, 1944, American soldiers, joined by Allied Forces, led the charge to restore freedom and rid our world of a great tyranny. We owe a debt of gratitude to these heroes who made great sacrifices to ensure that their children and grandchildren could inherit a nation – and a world – that is free and prosperous. Good stewardship of our liberty is the only fitting tribute and the greatest monument one could build. “One of the greatest privileges that I have as a Member of Congress is when my wife Katie and I are invited to join local World War II veterans as they embark on their honor flights to visit the World War II Memorial in Washington that was so late in coming.” # # # |
