Congressman Posey’s Statement on the 71st Anniversary of the Attack on Pear Harbor
Washington,
December 7, 2012
Congressman Bill Posey (R-FL) released the following statement on the 71st Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor:
“On December 7th, 1941, a peaceful nation became the target of war with the treacherous attack on Pearl Harbor that left 3500 Americans dead or wounded. “On that day, our nation banded together under the cause of freedom, harnessed our skills, and our ingenuity; and summoned the courage to confront the greatest threat of tyranny the world had ever faced in modern times. Our brave men and women in uniform – to whom we owe a debt of gratitude – carried forth our flag to victory, defending our nation and liberating our allies around the globe. “All Americans should remember December 7, 1941 not only as a day of great loss, but as a day that our nation realized just how possible it is to overcome the greatest of challenges.” |
