Posey to Host Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will host the 2011 Congressional Art Competition on Saturday, April 30th at the Osceola Center for the Arts in Kissimmee from 9AM – Noon. This opportunity will enable students to enter a piece of artwork in “An Artistic Discovery,” the annual competition held in Congressional Districts across the nation.
“The 15th District is home to many talented young artists and I’m looking forward to viewing all of the entries,” said Congressman Posey. RSVP before April 25, 2011 at /RSVP/ The Congressional Art Competition is open to all public, private, and home school students. Artwork must meet submission guidelines and all required forms must be completed and submitted with artwork for judging. The winning artwork will be displayed in the Capitol for the entire year and cannot be returned prior to the end of the exhibit. The first and second runners up will have their art displayed in Congressman Posey’s Washington and Florida offices respectively.
