The Fair Tax Act of 2009 (H.R. 25)

Congressman Posey is a cosponsor of H.R. 25, the Fair Tax Act of 2009 which repeals the income tax and other taxes, abolishes the Internal Revenue Service and replaces it with a national sales tax to be administered by the states. Congressman Posey is also a cosponsor of H.J. Res. 16, which proposes an amendment to the Constitution to repeal the 16th Amendment, which authorizes Congress to tax income. Income will never be safe free from taxation unless the 16th Amendment is repealed.
