Posey Applauds President’s Decision to Waive Jones Act Requirements for Puerto Rico

Yesterday, Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) sent a letter to President Trump urging his Administration to consider waiving Jones Act requirements temporarily to speed up assistance efforts and delivery of much needed supplies.
“I applaud the President’s decision to temporarily waive Jones Act requirements so our fellow Americans living in Puerto Rico can get the supplies and assistance they need to recover from recent hurricanes,” said Congressman Posey. Posey also requested the President dispatch National Guard units and appropriate law enforcement to help keep order and protect civilians from criminal activity.
