Next week Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will award the 2015 Congressional Medal of Merit to notable students of Florida’s 8th Congressional District. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 4PM at the Brevard County Government Complex in Viera. The distinguished students receiving the award are graduating seniors who were nominated by their schools in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, a commitment to their communities, and civic involvement. They are leaders in the area of peer respect, school citizenship, and are involved in extracurricular activities.

Other Events: On Thursday, May 7th, Congressman Posey will deliver remarks at this year’s Space Coast Prayer Breakfast which will be held at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place. Congressman Posey and his wife Katie will also participate in the Cocoa Beach Kidney Walk on Saturday, May 9th, which will begin at the Cocoa Beach Pier. Later this month, he will give a legislative update to Space Coast Women in Defense. Details listed below:
