Posey Reaches Out to Veterans, Constituents During Upcoming District Work Period

Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) has announced a schedule of events honoring our nation’s veterans at a Memorial Day tribute and awarding the Congressional Medal of Merit to district high school students. In addition, Congressman Posey and staff will also be available to meet one on one with constituents throughout the week.

Monday, May 31, 2010: Cocoa Memorial Day Tribute - 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Cocoa Riverfront Park, 401 Riveredge Boulevard, Cocoa, Florida 32922.
* Congressman Posey will attend the tribute and deliver the invocation and benediction.

Tuesday, June 1, 2010: Congressman Posey to Unveil Portrait - 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Brevard Community College, 3865 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, 32935.
* Congressman Posey will attend an unveiling of a new portrait in the BCC Administration Building.

Thursday, June 3, 2010: Indian River Office Hours - 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Indian River State College, Richardson Center, 6155 College Lane, Vero Beach, 32966.
* Constituents may request an appointment with Congressman Posey or staff by calling (772) 778-3534. This is an opportunity for Indian River County residents to meet with Congressman Posey and his casework staff regarding issues they may have with Federal agencies or programs.

Osceola Office Hours - 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Valencia Community College, 1800 Denn John Lane, Kissimmee, Florida 34744.
* Office hours continue in Osceola County for constituents who would like to meet with Congressman Posey or staff to discuss issues they may be experiencing with Federal agencies. Please contact 1 (888) 681-1776.

Friday, June 4, 2010: Brevard Office Hours - 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Rep. Posey’s District Office, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way Building C, Melbourne, Florida 32940.
* Congressman Posey and casework staff will be available at his district office for constituents to discuss issues they may have with Federal agencies. Please contact (321) 632-1776 for appointments.

Medal of Merits Awards - 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM.
* Congressman Posey will present honorable high school students from Florida’s 15th District with the Congressional Medal of Merit. This honor is awarded to graduating seniors who have demonstrated commendable citizenship and academic excellence during their high school careers.
