Posey Highlights Space in Upcoming Local Events

Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) has announced a schedule of events he will be attending focusing on space related issues. Below is a list of events, with indication of events that are open to the media.
In addition to the events listed below, Congressman Posey will meet with the union leaders representing workers who will be affected by the President's budget to discuss jobs and the issues currently facing the space industry. He will also meet with Colonel Ed Wilson, the new Commander of the 45th Space Wing. Friday, April 9, 2010: * Florida Forum on Space: 2:30 - 4:00 pm. Simpkins Fine Art Center, Building 4, Brevard Community College, Cocoa Campus, 1519 Clearlake Road, Cocoa, FL 32922. Congressman Posey will be joined by Congresswoman Susanne Kosmas to participate in a Town Forum on Space hosted by Florida Today and Brevard Community College. The Representatives will provide opening remarks and respond to questions from the audience. Media is invited to attend. Sunday, April 11, 2010: * Community Space Rally – Gates open at 3:00 pm. Program begins at 4:00 pm. Cocoa Expo Sports Center, 500 Friday Road, Cocoa, FL 32926. Congressman Posey will be participating in a community space rally to focus on the future of Human Space Exploration. Media is invited to attend. |
