Rep. Posey's Statement on the Terrorist Attacks in Paris
Washington, Nov 16 -
Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) issued the following statement regarding the recent terrorist attacks in Paris:
“The terrorist attacks that happened in Paris over the weekend are another stark reminder of the need to secure our nation’s borders. Fourteen years after 9-11, a reliable entry-exit system has not been put in place as recommended by the 9-11 Commission and required by law. We need a system that prevents criminals and terrorists from entering our nation, and I have consistently supported efforts in Congress to secure our borders and enforce our laws.
“Furthermore, I oppose the President’s plan to bring tens of thousands of Syrian refugees into the United States, and I have cosponsored legislation to stop the Administration from taking this action. I stand with every American in support of the French people during this time of crisis, and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims of these terrorist acts, their families, and loved ones.”
