Posey Recognizes Black History Month
Washington, Feb 1 -
Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) released the following statement in recognition of February as Black History Month:
“Black History Month serves to remind us all of the many significant contributions that African Americans have made both to our nation and the entire world,” said Congressman Posey. “This month we recognize the important achievements made by African Americans in science, art and politics; and many other fields. We pay tribute to those accomplishments and as we cherish the fundamental principle that all people are given equal opportunity to strive to achieve their goals in life. This key value has enabled so much progress for African Americans and lays the foundations for future achievements. By holding true to the ideals that ensure that work is rewarded and equal opportunity is promoted we will secure this same opportunity for future generations of Americans.”
