Yesterday the U.S. House of Representatives voted to create a new select committee to investigate the weaponization of the federal government. Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) supported creating the new committee, which will be structured under the jurisdiction of the House Judiciary Committee.  

“The federal government’s highest purpose is to protect our Constitution and the Constitutional rights we enjoy as Americans,” said Congressman Posey. “Evidence that federal agencies have used their authority to silence and intimidate journalists, target parents at school board meetings, pressure private companies, violate our civil liberties, hide evidence and create false narratives to influence election outcomes – all right under our noses and with a free pass from the media—is disturbing and demands investigation and accountability.”
