Congressman Posey Announces Events to Honor Veterans

Join Congressman Bill Posey (Fl-15) at the following events in honor of our Veterans who have put their lives on the line to protect our freedom. We have an obligation to make sure their sacrifices are not forgotten.
November 11, 2009 Veterans Day Memorial Service sponsored by American Legion 348; VFW 10131; VFW 10148, DAV 123 and the State Council for Vietnam Veterans of America – 10:30 AM music; 11:00 AM program - Veterans Park, Cape Canaveral. Park at the Cape Canaveral Library parking lot located at 201 Polk, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 November 21, 2009 Naval Armed Guard & Merchant Marine Recognition – 9:00 AM – Marsh Landings Restaurant, 44 N Broadway Street, Fellsmere (772) 571-8622 15th District members of the Navy assigned on Board Merchant Ships as the Naval Armed Guard Service or Merchant Marines will receive certificates of Special Recognition from Congressman Bill Posey in a special ceremony during the regular meeting of the Naval Armed Guard and Merchant Marines of World War II. Eligibility: Veteran must reside in the 15th Congressional District of Florida, and have proof of serving in the United States military in the Navy assigned on board Merchant ships as the Naval Armed Guard Service or Merchant Marine during World War II. Provide a legible copy of your discharge document (DD214) or proof of service in the Naval Armed Guard Service or Merchant Marine to my District Office at 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Melbourne, FL 32940 or by fax at (321) 639-8595 before November 10.
