Posey to Visit Local Veterans Job Training Facility

Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will meet with military veterans and tour a Cape Canaveral business that offers important job training to veterans interested in learning electronics. Posey will visit Veterans Assembled Electronics (VAe LLC) on Tuesday, August 19th at 9AM. VAe is located on 7099 North Atlantic Avenue, Suite 200 in Cape Canaveral.

Members of the press who are interested in attending should contact Samuel Watson at 202-297-6273.

“Veterans training veterans to prepare for careers as electronics technicians is an important mission and I’m looking forward to seeing them in action,” said Congressman Posey. “I am appreciative of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to support training programs like VAe that help disabled veterans get good paying jobs when they transition from the military to the civilian workforce.”

“VAeLLC employees are service-disabled veterans themselves and understand what veterans face when leaving the military,” said VAe CEO John Shepard, whom himself is a service-disabled Vietnam infantryman.

Veterans Assembled electronics LLC is based in Cape Canaveral and Newport, Rhode Island. In addition to providing electronics training to vets, VAe also coaches service-disabled veterans on crafting resumes, preparing for interviews, and links them to potential employers – giving them a much greater chance for employment. VAe also does custom and specialized electronic design as well as small-scale manufacturing for the Navy.
